2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe

I think it looks better then the convertible - the hard top portion looks very Dodge Viper like, but I think this car illustrates exactly what is wrong with GM. It comes with the basic non turbocharged powerplant, and instead of making it a complete fixed roof, there is a panel that comes off to make it open top. That is cool and all, however the problem with this panel is that there is absolutely no where on the car to keep it when you take it off. Also, the storage space is still incredibly small, and an article in the news group paper said there was room basically for a couple of over night bags, and a laptop...

Like honestly, they're making an inconvenient car (I would say all 2 seater cars are considered inconvenient by many) even more inconvenient. My 1990 miata is pretty impractical, but I can put a golf bag in the trunk, or a full size luggage plus extras...

Anyways, here's the pics.

And it still has a useless trunk, haha

Holy crap, I find it super ugly, roof looks like a total after thought.

buddy test drove an 08, said the shifter is up too high and makes it really lame to drive. He also said it has no balls at all(n/a 170hp 2.4L), for the price 260hp should be standard equipment.. not some super pricey package(GXP). And yeah, The trunk looks way too tiny for anything, looks like you might have a hard time even fitting groceries back there without them rolling into the front seats when you hit the brakes.

About the targa roof.. ive owned my Supra for only about 10 months, the targa clips into the trunk with still a decent amount of room on top and in front to put things. The amount of times ive gone out on a nice sunny day with the roof off and stayed out late and put it back on because it was cold out, or about to rain, or just parking somewhere sketchy is enough to make me wonder what the hell Pontiac is thinking. Im guessing they might include some kind of roll up soft top you can clip on or something? leaving home without the roof would suck ass.

MX5 and S2000 = win, not trying to knock Pontiac but they really dont have it right.
