Ticket penalties transfer to Class 5?

Say for example when one person had their Class 7 New Driver License they got several tickets. The person paid for 1 of the tickets but disputed the other ticket. Before the court hearing that person got their Class 5 license.

-Do the points transfer over to the Class 5 license?

-If the person loses at the dispute, do the points go towards the Class 5 license even though the ticket was issued when the person had a class 7?

Simply put: yes and yes.

ONE more question,
How many points do I have on my class 5 license before it can be suspended?

PACER 04-02-2009 10:26 AM

You have the answer to your first questions of Yes and Yes.

As for the new one I think the max allowable before a prohibition or suspension is considered is 15 points.... I tried to locate the number on ICBC site but that is hard to do from our work computers...

Here is a link if you would like to do some searching...

Or unless law Enforcement contact the SMV about bad driver attitude. I have written letters about bad attitudes and requested the SMV consider their continuing ability to drive, based on demonstrated facts. I's still not a "right" yet to drive.
