Need help setting up email on N82

Ok wtf..

I need some help, so I go to messages>settings>email

So basically the incoming mail server says : pop.mail.yahoo.ca
The outgoing mail server says: smtp.mail.yahoo.ca

The username and password I type in just as if I were to go to yahoo's website

WTF did I do wrong? Everytime I try to connect it just prompts me for my username and pw, which are already inserted and correct, and saved into the memory

EDIT: I even ran the settings wizard which grabs all the settings for me, and it just keeps prompting me for my user and pw

Are you using the stock email client or Nokia Messaging?

I havent downloaded anything onto this phone yet except for largetime screensaver
So I guess the stock email client

Seems like someone on hofo answered your question quite thoroughly. :)

Yep, but it doesnt work :(
I've typed everything in perfectly exactly the way he did and it keeps telling me that the incoming mail server wasnt found.

Maybe my best bet is to call rogers and ask them?

Alphamale 04-08-2009 11:51 AM

If you're not using a phone that they carry, I don't think they'll be able to help you.

FML

Have you tried a hard reset?

!Yaminashi 04-08-2009 12:12 PM

I havent actually, but wouldnt that erase everything and all my settings?
How do I go about hard resetting again?
