from the same article

"- A Richmond woman was given an absolute discharge in 2003 after she was charged with throwing away the body of her newborn baby girl.

Herjote Shergill, 25, pleaded guilty to disposing of the body of her dead daughter with intent to conceal she had delivered the baby.

She gave birth in August 2001 in her parents’ bathroom. Shergill lived with her parents, but they were unaware that she was pregnant.

She claimed she didn’t know she was pregnant until a week before the birth."

WTF!

Once I thought a pregnant brown co-worker of mine was just really fat. One day, they did a party for her, so I asked her "What is the occasion?", she replies "Oh its a baby shower"...Me still not getting it and asked "For who?". She said "its for me..."

:(

i had a coworker before that did almost the exact same. he came up to a bunch of us and said he thought Jenny was getting a little heavy...this was about 8 months into the pregnancy. We told him she was pregnant and didn't believe us so he asked her. He came back to us and his face was so red...lol.

But back to this situation, I can't believe any mother would just do that. It's just sad what she did to the baby.
