FS: 1995 Lexus SC400 >>PICS ADDED<< I am forced to sell my beloved Lexus as I need money for school. But you can be sure I am buying another one as soon as I finish!! I absolutely love the ride/quality/look of this car. Sorry, I dont post much here on RevScene, but I post regularly on ClubLexus under the same username. History: I bought this car from an insurance company in San Francisco in 2007 as an insurance write-off. I flew down there and drove it back as the car only had very minor body damage to the driver side quarter-panel. Unfortunately, due to differences in insurance coverage, the car had to be registered in Canada as a 'Rebuild' even though the damage was minor. The damage was repaired in Canada. I've been driving the car ever since with 0 problems. Specs: - 250 HP, 4.0 L V8 (1UZ) engine, 260 ft lb. - 139,XXX Miles (around 220,XXX Km`s). - Traction Control. - Automatic (Lexus didnt make 400's in Manual unfortunately, but I can provide plenty of resources on doing the conversion). - Rear-wheel drive. - Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 10.2, or 24 MPG on the highway, 18 MPG city (which is pretty good for an old model V8). - Fully Loaded. - 'Gold Package/Winter Package' - Premium Nakamichi sound system. - 12 disc CD changer. - Heated seats and mirrors. - Power seats, mirrors, windows, sunroof, etc. - Telescoping steering-wheel. - And the list goes on.. Condition: The condition of the car is almost perfect. Garage kept at home, and 50% at work. The engine pulls extremely hard and smooth. No issues with the engine, no leaks, etc. I change the oil every 4000K with Lexus brand oil. I encourage you to take it to a mechanic. Everything electronic works properly. - Exterior (8.5/10), no dents, no rust, just a few nics and dings that you'd expect on a 14 year old car. But nothing that a good cut-polish cant remove. - Interior (8.5/10) is in great condition, except for the normal wear on the driver seat. I am asking $8900 OBO. Please do your research on this car before making me an offer. They are extremely reliable and sought after. No low-balls, serious inquiries only. Sorry no trades, unless for a 98+ sc400. It doesn't look like you can post pictures (or I dont know how), so just email me for pictures. Or better yet, come see the car in person. I am located in New West.. |
Can someone explain to me how to add images? I have no clue.. |
(img)img link goes here(/img) replace () with []. replace paranthese with brackets. or use the image button when u goto post. it's a yellowish box with mountains in the foreground. |
Bump to the top! ..come see how well it runs! |
Bump... |
Bump for an Easter price drop! |
Bump for a nice week! NO ONE is interested!?!? Is my price really that bad or something!?? |
For reference I had a very difficult time selling my 1999 SC300 black/black, in superior condition, with 98k miles, and clean carfax at a pricepoint of $15k. As we all know the 98+ cars have the upgraded body, interior, etc. I think the SC's are great cars, but with the accident and mileage you may be 15-20% high on the pricing. |
Thats just it though, other than it saying 'rebuild' on a piece of paper this car is in immaculate condition. Other SC owners have driven my car and say that my engine pulls a lot smoother and harder than theirs. So its difficult to drop my price due to such minor damage. But then again $8900 is an OBO price, I'm defiantly willing to go lower and negotiate. I'm just not getting any interest here at all!!! :-( |
While the damage was cosmetic people may be apprehensive about resale afterward with the title the way it sits. I do believe the value of the car is in line with the asking price, unfortunately the marketplace for SC's I found to be weak...which is quite bizarre because they are fantastic machines. Good luck on the sale. |
Really bizarre I agree, especially for the reliability of SC's not to mention looks. Thanx for the support! |
