Cops blocked off the Y-Intersection there all the way up to the first parking lot on the left travelling towards NW Marine Dr.

Anyone know what happened? Plenty of cruisers and supervisor SUV's

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The body has been found on a trail just off 41st Ave. and Camosun St. in Pacific Spirit Park near UBC.

RCMP Corporal Peter Thiessen explains they're trying to figure out how it got there. "It's unclear at this point whether there's foul play involved or not. Based on the evidence that we have at this point, we've asked IHIT to attend. IHIT will be attending."

Thiessen says they're treating this as a suspicious death, but he isn't giving details on the age, gender or condition of the body. The area is expected to be covered in yellow tape well into the evening as investigators and dog teams comb through the park.

my bus got rerouted...took me 30 more min to get home today.
wasn't there a body found in pacific spirit park just last year?

man.. traffic was bad on the way to ubc.. lol !!! i was 30 minutes late.. b/c of all the bad drivers re routing to 16th..

Can't believe it's still closed! It really creates a bottleneck for getting to/from UBC...

DAMN.. no wonder im always late for my classes...
