I need help guys. I'm getting so agitated from spending 3 hours washing up the car and then on the drying process it never seems to work right!

I use Meg's gold for wash, soap twice and rinse. I normally wash my car around evening so I can let the car drain a bit before I attack it first with a chami (which never seems to dry my car) then attack it with a dry MF.

After all that, I'm always left with water streaks. Should I get some more MF's and just go nuts on it? For the windows I always touch it off with cleaner to get it streak free. It just seems stupid and I think there's got to be a better way to do this.

Am I adding too much soap? 2 oz for 2/3rd a home depot bucket?

I'm going to pick up some Meg's clay just so I can get the quick detailer to go nuts off of the water streaks soon! :mad:

if theres wax/sealant on the car, all you have to do after a wash is to let water run freely from the hose (no attachments on the hose), that way the water will pull down all the loose water beads. making the car mostly dry. than after wards just pat dry with a mf, or a waffle weave guzzler towel.

^I use that trick and it works great

a good quality chamois will have no problems drying the car.

I find MF doesn't do much in terms of drying.

When I run my canadian tire chamois and black magic "drying towel/fake chamois" it still leaves water on my car. Is there some secret way I'm missing out on?

get 2 waffle weave MF towels

spread the towel across an entire panel and flatten the towel so it soaks up water, drag the towel off the car, this will soak up water and make water fly off ur car. then wring it, dry it again and again until it's almost dry. Now the towel is wet so the car can only get so dry with a wet towel, use the 2nd towel to make it complete dry, change back to the first towel and move to another panel.

or use a leaf blower.

Don't have a leaf blower kicking around my house. I tried driving at 160 instead to imitate the winds but it seemed the road was quite dusty and the water couldn't dry faster then the dust could cake on. I guess I'll have to rethink my strategy....

I use one of those $50 electric leaf blowers from Homedepot.

Lightly spritz with Quick Detailer while trying to dry with a MF. Works very well for me.

I agree. A quality Waffle Weave MF towel and quick detailer works wonders. I don't know why, but using a QD seems to help lift the water off the paint. Hmmm......

<3 QD, especially after you've just detailed your car and you get bombarded with bird shit

I find the absorber chamois works well
