You'll need the Pro version antenna to make it work with anything 2000 and newer.

Thanks for clarifying cause I honestly don't know. So ya the remote will work with pro version

I think that it will work with the older FM models but it just won't confirm or page operations. It will arm/disarm but not much else without the Pro version antenna.

Actually its not the PRO Antenna, its the brain that it won't respond to, you'll notice that 2 way FM Antenna in Canada regardless of PRO are not are the same antenna. Just the brain will not support it.
