Lucky for me my membership was pretty much a given due to my grandfather and great grandfather who were both high ranking members (Grand Giant of the Province and Grand Cyclops). Unfortunately when the Klan disbanded in 1944 most of the records at that time were destroyed. Contrary to popular belief there were several Negro members of the KKK and even president Truman was a member (for a short 2 year time then he left and when he left he lost the backing of the Klan and was not re-elected the next term)
