should I bother watching the first movie? I don't think I can handle the terrible graphics.

i know that.. im pointing out the special effects they use to re create Jeff Bridges' younger face..

I'm more stoked for the soundtrack than the movie itself

Gnomes 11-30-2010 07:23 PM

Went to disneyland and saw this giant "party" thing celebrating the portal opening. Now I am stoked to watch the movie.

The Legacy Begins.... Again

thumper 12-16-2010 12:13 PM

report back what you thought of the movie afterwards please...

PuYang 12-16-2010 12:18 PM

the movie is worth watching for sure. i never seen the first tron, and know nothing about the story. and i still greatly enjoyed legacy. watched it in 3D.

the music, as already stated, is AWESOME. and yes, daft punk appears. (you know them, they never show their faces ever, so when you see them in the movie, you'll know right away ;p)

the story is meh, but forgivable. visual effects were amazing.

to sum it up, VFX and music makes this movie really good ;]

saw it on monday at scotia bank theatre (cast and crew pre-screening). bro and mom both worked on some parts of the movie ;]

woob 12-16-2010 12:30 PM

Hahaha was anyone else surprised at how unabashedly "Vancouver" the movie was? Causeway, Lions Gate, Yaletown, Robson, Granville Bridge + bus lane signs, Scotia Tower all in plain sight.

97ITR 12-19-2010 08:47 AM

I saw Tron II the other night and, though it was visually appealing, I thought it was drawn out and boring. My friends and a good portion of the people in the theater seemed to share similar sentiments. Perhaps you have to be a true Tron fan to really enjoy this movie.

That would be a plus in my book. :D Can't wait to watch it next week after finals.

woob 12-19-2010 01:38 PM

I never said it was a negative haha. It was sweet to see it all, especially since it was so blatantly Vancouver.

I know what I'm gonna be for Halloween next year!!!

Saw the movie last night in IMAX 3D and thought the movie was great. Some parts were dragged out but I think they made up for it with the action scenes that followed. Can't wait for Tron 3!

StylinRed 12-19-2010 05:01 PM

supposedly you can buy an official replica tron suit for your motorcycle and it meets all safety standards for like $1000+ ?? someone was telling me the other day

oh here it is http://www.udreplicas.com/ud-product...ynn-tron-suit/ its just the suit no helmet

edit: you can rock the 1982 helmet though :D http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets..._tron_ruby.jpg
