No trust me, they understand. It's as Plain as english as it gets so trust me, there is no miscommunication. But for reasons of their own, they WILL refuse to listen, take a hint or are outright in denial and convince themselves that you mean otherwise.

I think it's true because I know people who've had people twist that around into the "hard-to-get" thing. Even if the guy actually gets it, they may try to deny that, get creepier, stupider, whatever.
