Good 'mellow' music recommendations.

I did a quick search, but without much luck.

Basically I'm trying to get into the study groove, and the usual stuff I listen to (old school hip-hop/ trance/ jazz) just won't do it for me. I don't want any Asian songs either, because they're so repetitive to the point that I honestly can't stand listening to them.

I'm thinking of the Anthony Hamilton type, some of his old stuff, not the new hip-hop R&B stuff he's doing.

Like I said, just really mellow music (soul/ retro-soul perhaps), but not anything that would put me to sleep (like jazz lol); kinda like the songs that Airto on Youtube sings.
Here's his MySpace channel which has a couple tracks, just to get a feel.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

ooh two week old thread but I was just looking for the same music for studying this weekend so I thought I'd post some of mine:

Black Violin:

Their one album, self-titled 'Black Violin', has a mix of slow jams, classical and funk.

Kleptones:
British mash-up artists. One of their albums, "Yoshimi Battles the HipHop Robots" is a mashup of rap tracks with The Flaming Lips. Favourite track is Love Song for Yoshimi (I like the original Flaming Lips version too). Some of it is kinda wack, but for the most part it's pretty chill beats. oh and the all their stuff is free too - download from their website.

DJ Frane:
Kinda trippy hiphop. Perfect chill gettin high music (actually all his albums have the subtitle "Beats to blaze to, Volume x" hah) but it does the job as ambience when hitting the books too.
