wtf? Why?

Is it your money? Is a couple hundred dollars worth risking a beating?

Razor Ramon HG 04-11-2009 11:16 AM

I just had a vision where I was standing outside with a baseball bat, and just as they come out, I bash their kneecaps to bits, and pee on them.

if the employer has a very high deductable to make a claim, he should be more than happy for compensate you for your loss. If it keeps you working there, its more than worth it. why should you lose out of pocket working for someone else?

I live in that area, Ill order a pizza this weekend and give ya guys a good tip.

and

p.s. i know its probably shitty and scary, but all i can say is it gets better day by day.

couple years ago, I was the sales associate to a Bomb threat, creepo left a letter, and had to close the store call the cops.. turns out he had severe mental issues, and known to police for this kinda thing before. dude even left his name/phone/address at bottom of letter.

worst thing you can do, is take time off. go back to work, otherwise the longer you wait to go back, the harder it will be.

InvisibleSoul 04-11-2009 01:06 PM

I notice even some 7-Elevens have locked doors now where you need to be buzzed in...

wahyinghung 04-11-2009 04:37 PM

SpuGen 04-11-2009 04:46 PM

Shun Izaki 04-11-2009 05:40 PM

Was Will working that night?

Or does he even work there anymore?

waddy41 04-11-2009 09:23 PM

^Will wasnt working but he still works here...
I don't know if we would have been robbed if he was working....they'd be scared of his gangster tattoos...

and none of the employees went to Cambie..

waddy41 04-11-2009 09:24 PM

BTW the boss did not offer to pay me back...and i'm not going to ask...

the way i see it is....if i get robbed on the street...no one's gonna pay me back....this is sorta the same thing...i do feel guilty for not locking the door in the first place

neggo 04-11-2009 11:22 PM

I live just right by Mcneely...that's some scary stuff. Good thing it didn't escalate to anything worse.

Late at night. Last week, I went to the 7-Eleven at Knight and 33rd at like 2am and had to wait to get buzzed in along with a few others...

WTFFFFF NOOOOOOO i think its your right to ask to be compensated for losses incurred at work
u can also argue if u didnt' work you wouldnt hav even been robbed
you were robbed WHILE working for your boss so he should be responsible for your safety or losses due to lack of that safety
GO GET YOUR $40 BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imagine how many slices of pizza that'll buy

stand up, and get money from that cheap mofo already.

ZhangFei 04-12-2009 01:15 AM

isn't it the law that the employer is supposed to provide a safe environment for the employees?

monkeywrench 04-12-2009 01:18 AM

^exactly, how can you not ask for it back, $40 is $40, get it back

azzurro32 04-12-2009 06:08 AM

Since she got robbed of her personal money I dont think the boss has to pay her back. But it would be a good gesture for a boss to pay back someone who went through a possible traumatizing experience at one of their stores.

3seriesBeeM 04-12-2009 08:50 AM

well at least nobody got physically hurt you did the right thing I wouldnt fight back if they outnumber me and got weapons in the end its just money you lost it can always be replaced.

but you should talk to the owner about replacing your $40
