SHOP TO REBUILT TRANSMISSION

I need to rebuilt the transmission on my VW Jetta and was wondering if someone could recommend me a good/and preferably modestly priced shop in Vancouver that could rebuilt my tranny. Thanks a lot in advance

I can't recommend a place, but I can tell you to NOT go to ALLTECH Transmission in Burnaby on Dawson by Willingdon! I had my tranny rebuilt there, had a quote for $800. It ended up costing me double that! Long story short, they wouldn't honour their warranty if I didn't get my engine mount replaced, etc...

Thank you very much for letting me know. I will definitely stay away from ALLTECH

Mister Transmission.

My car is still @shop for rebuilting tranny,

they have good service(ie: estimation/check up/free rd test drive etc) so far and

reasonable price + they offer 5yr 100,000kms warranty (covers both labour and parts) for extra couple hundreds dollars.

oh, you get to have free courtesy car if one of those two cars is available.
(it's a s****box tho, but can't complain for free :))

i stopped by couple times to check how things are going,

they know what they're doing.

I drive 2005 accord v6 AT. my tranny started to have issues with grinding noise+slippin gear on 3rd.

just left it @shop because didnt want the cancer to get bigger and coast me more $.

my car is well known for tranny issues,(esp.2005 v6 AT models)

i wish i could fix it under the warranty,

but my warranty is void due to high milage.

never had a problem till i hit high milage that voids my warranty when my buddy got his tranny rebuilt 3 times @stealership before he hits 100k. -_-

Usually send my customers to Wilf's, and they DO honor you warranty. Quality work~

It depends what model and age of your car.. if you go to the dealership these days they just ship you a refurbed transmission from the main manufacturers and replace it.

Independent transmission shops are a dying industry since the tolerance of transmissions are so small these days.
