Poor Viper...

As ya'll can see, i don't post much, but always lurking (once i make a post/comment, i'll be very unproductive otherwise).

Anyhow, had to snap/post this one. Spotted on Powell Street, across the st. from Princeton Cold beer/wine store. My buddy and I couldn't quite figure out how the hell it happened.
At first we assumed that the driver musta been ripping it and lost it around the curve, but then a customer came outta the lil' pub there and said the car was actually parked and the driver was sippin on a brewski in the pub, when a translink dude walked in and asked the patrons if anyone owned a viper (god, not what u wanna hear randomly cuz it can't be a good thing, esp. down in that hood). So buddy walks out only to discover his shiny 2nd gen snake was raped by the civic which rammed it and ripped off the entire left rear wheel assembly.

These are the best pics i could get w/out the fuzz bustin my chops....
Seriously painful, po' guy, can u imagine just chillin, having a brew, then whammo, ur parked, clean, viper has been just totalled!!!!

Cheers folks,
jigger

ps. still can't quite figure out how it coulda happened based on the damage/position of the vehicles (note how the civic bumper is wedged under the pickup), unless the cars were already moved (but the tire, which is friggin huge is still sittin there).

ps. left the pics big so u can actually see it, sorry if its a pain (ifone cam)

sexyaccord 04-17-2009 12:25 PM

ouch,
i think thats a lancer not a civic that hit the viper

How someone manages to hit a car parked on the side of the street is beyond me..
Especially a viper

TOPEC 04-17-2009 06:52 PM

^ u know how some people tend to steer in the direction of where they are looking.
i'm guessing the driver or the lancer was like OO cool viper OH SHIT BANGG. SHIT SHIT SHIT!

LOL

WHEYsted 04-17-2009 09:52 PM

That sucks because it's an SRT-10. :(

shenmecar 04-17-2009 10:18 PM

the lancer mustve hit it pretty hard to move the car forward away from the curb that is in front of the bottle refund building, and it aint possible that the viper was parked behind that pickup truck either cuz then the pickup would be involved in this collision too, but i guess it sorta is cuz the bumper from the lancer is tucked in its ass.

AND, the lancer is on the inside so how did the parked viper get hit and the lancer jumped over to the inside?

I dont think the viper was parked. i think it just happened when they both were moving and one of them lost control and dragged the other into this.

jigjag 04-17-2009 11:27 PM

ya I'm pretty sure one of had to b moved if what buddy told me is accurate. He said he was in the bar when buddy found out his whip was done in. No reason for him to bs about that and he seemed sober enough. Either way, would b nice to find/figure out.
Such a nice dodge...

Not that it matters but that is a Lancer not a Civic.

And Lancer owns. At least it owned a Viper.
