			sodium pentathol doesn't work.
it, like alcohol, merely gets you in a different mental state. the difference between it and alcohol, however, is that people administering it give you the "suggestion" that its truth serum and because of that you feel "willed" to tell the truth.

Drunk words are sober thoughts. I think that's a half-truth, but I am half-cut right now.

Alcohol can reveal the darker, hidden side of the person, which I guess you could say is the true person.

i remember one weekend I was hanging out with an older african american crowd in a bar/grill type of restaurant
one guys took me to the bar and ordered me a drink of adios motherfucker. I finished that and then he kept on pouring me shots of remy martin 1738. I told the guy I don't normally drink, but he was like drink! drink! i wanna see who you really are!!

I guess he wanted to know why I was with his people and all..Dude was real paranoid about me being in his circle I guess about me being Chinese and all, but after we were downing some drinks together I found out he was a really cool individual.

What is it about drinking with someone that makes him seem more trustworthy??

No matter how many drinks in (so far my max is somewhere ~15 in 4 hours ) I can never speak exactly what I think about someone/something. Maybe I should drink more.
But then I get sleepy.
It really depends on the person. I get a lot of people confiding in me shit I don't really wanna know...

People just don't hold back as much, that's all it is. I call it "liquid courage", NOT "truth serum".
A good example is angry drunks. If they're not angry when sober, it just means they're exercising a ton of self-control. I wouldn't want to hang with them. Last time I checked, ALL of my friends are chill/happy drunks.

I'm more prone to anger when I'm sober. I've gotten better in the last few years but when someone pisses me off I hit the red line pretty quickly.
The last thing I want to do when I'm drunk is fight or be around negative people.
Does that make me weird?

 | I don't think I've ever been as much as disgruntled while intoxicated. Chill/happy drunks for the win!
Helps when you never try to use a substance as any kind of escape or crutch for reality. Strictly celebratory use! I feel crutch work just makes too many inroads for addiction.

			I'm a violent drunk
I'll admit the exercising self-control in normal life bit.
otherwise I'd murder half the people I talk to everyday ....
... does that make me a lunatic? or just a very angry person? shrug
