Computer won't boot from xp cd I'm trying to reformat my computer... but the reinstallation CD won't boot. This is a legit copy of windows xp. Yes, I've set the cdrom as the first boot option in the bios. What do I do? Thanks guys. |
Find another bootable CD and try that. Try your XP CD in another computer. That should give you more clues. |
ada you using SATA HDD? coz the earlier version of Win XP won't support SATA HDD. |
download a pirated copy and use the legit cd-key |
how does the cd not boot? where in the process does it stop working? I just had a similar problem, and after lots of google searching, it was an issue with my mobo and its design. so i guess lets start with the basics. System OS? Mobo? HDD? Quote:
