Also, there's this trend I've noticed. Not sure how long it's been 'in' but I'm always behind in observation: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0-9b8b99037e9a |

This is probably the wrong thread. But oh well... whatever... It's the only sensible one that came up from my searching. Went for a Home Depot run in my silver car to pick up a few things... https://scontent.fyvr3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...pQ&oe=689DF919 |
Nice :D |
My buddy sent me this. I’m like who gives a shit it’s only a 400k beetle. He’s like take a look again it’s an s/t. That’s a 850k beetle….. now you have my attention. I wanna crash it into a wall even more. https://i.postimg.cc/dtbG74wV/d189f4...9d34daa444.jpg Take a gt3. Add aliexpress badges. Save yourself 400k. |
Pretty sure this car was at the Shades of Stuttgart (show & shine) yesterday. Roped off from all other cars on display. I think the badge on the B-pillar says something along the lines of something-something 1 of 1? The frunk plastic covers were signed by a bunch of people, but my eyes sucked too bad to actually make out who these people were that signed the frunk plastic covers. https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...Mw&oe=689FE9D9 https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...iA&oe=689FED05 |
Oh you can’t make it out cuz the cloak of smugness prevents normal eyes from looking at it. That and the ropes….. the audacity to rope off a fucking beetle… that’s a bridge too far !!! I would have lost my mind and kicked that fucking thing Ala Costco retard |
So it's supposedly special but there's no way to tell what's actually special about it and they're showing off some signed plastic instead of the engine. Brilliant. |

This is why the porsche scene sucks. Fucking velvet ropes? Come on Jesus fuck. |
Oh come on, guys. It's 1 dealership car out of the 200+ that were on display there. And most of the Porsche owners I met there seem like they are pleasant folks -- esp the old timers that brought out their vintage air cooled Porsche. You can pretty much ask them anything about the car, and they'll gladly tell you about it. The Cayenne overlander guys were also pretty cool too (and their cars are absolutely bada$$). |
Oh I didn’t know it was a dealer car, I thought it was just some dude brought ropes. The fact that it’s possible, shows why I think it sucks. There are totally tons of great people in the scene, but the ratio of enthusiasts to douches has dwindled substantially in the last 5 years. |
Its 99% douchebags post 997 era. Fuck them, fuck their cars, fuck the greedy ass company, and fuck you andy Pringle-can-ager for literally doing nothing but hyping the shit of something mediocre. Omg a NA Subaru high revving engine….. you mean the ones that you had since 996 ?!? Omg a manual ….. you mean the ones you’ve had since the company started ?!? He didn’t do anything special. It’s just the other automakers have all turned out shitty products that nobody wanted so this unchanged trash can of a car looks like the second coming of car Jesus. And it’s not a dealership car. It’s owned by a 21 year old Ching Chong. Who’s furiously rubbing one off in the corner while everyone is gawking at his roped off car. |
Funny you mention that. In the 80s, Porsche was making cars nobody asked for. They nearly went bankrupt and Toyota came in to save them and their dumb ways. Fast forward to today. Making dumb cars nobody asked for. Their supply chain is the worst and failure is imminent. |
Slap on some decals, paint the wheels, add a 1 of x badge, and Porsche gaylords go nuts for it. Porsche is a strange brand to me. |
Most cars you can say the same for. Look at that hurcan strachiatella or whatever the fuck it is. That thing sucks so bad. Jack up a hurcan and have dudes jack off. New m2 comp or csl or whatever, put the worst duckbill you've ever seen that looks like it came from the universal section of a summit racing catalogue. It's all the tackiest shit for the tackiest people to say they spent more money than the other model. I'm not a boomer about everything. New music is incredible, tons of good new tv shows, but cars? They are 99% poo for what they cost. |

High end cars were way better before say 2015ish when the companies decided they'd rather make a small number of overpriced cars for rich knobs wanting to be "exclusive" rather than things that are actually good. |
