i don't know this mattzhang character personally, but my friends have told me the same story about the burnett incidents. and straight pipe? don't even give us that load of bullshit. anybody can clearly tell when a car is idling and when it's being revved, straight pipe, midpipe, no pipe, whatever. you're on a car enthusiast site man, try again

i understand that you're 17 or whatever and want to show off your car. but if you're going to do that, get yourself a job, earn yourself some money and then go showboat. showboating in a car your parents bought you? that sure makes you cool

i hope the words in this thread make you think the next time you plan to do something like that. though i doubt it will, given the nature of all you kids that live in the same fashion

this is why i would appreciate your friends maserati more than this kids R8. its all about respect, and attitude. this kid your talking about clearly has class and i respect that in turn.

^ my point exactly. everybody is always going to hate on young people with cars nicer then they can afford. human nature, jealousy, whatever it may be. can't blame anybody

what makes the difference though, is the attitude you have when you're the 18 year old behind the wheel of a $100k+ car. neither my family friend nor this mattzhang guy had to work for their cars, but one of them knows that fact, doesn't abuse it, and doesn't act like an arrogant idiot. that's what makes one a man in my eyes, and makes the other a child

hahaha i just remembered, my friend told me about this kid a while back too. my friend was at an audi dealership talking to an advisor, and this kid walks into the dealership, complaining that his car was "too loud" and wanted the dealership to "make it quieter". what a joke

man this just keeps getting better and better

Enough with the bashing of someone you don't actually know..Yes he drives an R8, yes he might still be a kid (Those are known facts by now), but I'm sure we all did stupid things with our cars when we were 17..I know I did, I thought my 3rd gen Prelude with a beat up JDM B20A, gutted interior and real CF hood was the shit back in the days..

17 year old car enthusiasts show off their cars, I think that's only normal..Just because he gets to do it in an R8 with a super loud exhaust doesn't make him any worse than what some of us did back when we were 17..So please, just and post more pics of sick cars you spot on the streets!

In the attempt of putting this thread back on track..I was bored at work a few days ago, so I decided to get out and snap some quick shots..Enjoy And no I don't work at Porsche haha..Just flavour of the week.

997 GT3...What a car! Drives like no other Porsches I've driven so far..

Techart 997 Turbo..Tofu might have recognized this car, it was in for service at Porsche a few weeks ago..This thing is BUILT, has everything you can imagine, power and handling wise..Stinking fast is an understatement

wow loving the 997 gt3
mine is just a 996 gt3. . . . replic

even though my 996 wasn't bought new, and was bought fairly cheap used appreciate it! I love it too much to drive it nows or even put kms on it. I, too, envy those with R8s, Granturismo etc. but i am very satisfied with my own car because I didn't have to pay full for it since parents did support. Just learn to appreciate what you have, and that there will always be someone out there that will have something better than what you currently have, its a good thing because it should strive you to work hard on achieving it!

ANYWAYS just me, or do porsches just dont look right in matte color?
