I don't think your going to find a bigger fan of Star Trek on RS than myself (I have Star Trek Tattoo's and have been in an episode as a Klingon) and my verdict is 2 Vulcan hand signs up.
The story was fantastic in that you don't have to be a Trek fan to even like the movie. They paid the original its fair share of tributes with awesome one liners at the perfect times. Cast was excellent my only gripe is Chekov (the actor's accent was fucking terrible) but other than that everyone was perfect. All in all the movie was way better than I expected it to be and I will be seeing it again in theaters this week lol.
Anyone else think the Romulans didn't really look all that Romulan? What was with the face tattoo's. There is a fairly solid look of Trek past that they should have followed. It would be like changing the look of Klingons now.
Berz out. | But weren't the ones in Nemesis pretty messed up too? The Romulans, I mean. I haven't watched that movie in full yet...but if I recall properly those were Romulans that were really pissed at Picard.  |

Watch it all and you'll see.

Berz out. | If you read the comic book prequel to the movie, you find out why the Romulans have shaved heads and tattoos. Its kind of ironic that you compared it to the look of the Klingons, which changed drastically from TOS to the movies.

This movie is amazing.
I hate star trek to clarify, but after hearing it was good I decided to go..and OMG the movie is sickk

Obviously the Klingons in TOS changed when TNG came about but that was just makeup artistry coming into play. I did not read the comic and now that you have clarified it makes sense however even given that fact they didn't look to romulan with even their brow lines.
Currently reading Vulcan : Exodus book 3 right now
