A working formula for decision making (buy this or not buy)

We are bad at making decisions. According to science, our decisions are based on oversimplification, laziness and prejudice. And that's assuming that we haven't already been hijacked by our surroundings or led astray by our subconscious. We often allow emotions take control of decision making and disable our logic.

Here is a formula used to decide whether or not you should buy something:

^^ That formula is retarded. Apparently if you have a half-decent job and more than a few grand saved up, pretty much anything is a "buy". ;)

I thought this was gonna be a flow chart or something.
Not some site you input data into.

...lol. After a few more experiments, it does seem like the formula is flawed. There is also consideration of "how much you personally think this itemis worth" data missing from the equation.

I punched in numbers to buy another car, it told me not to. I think it works just fine, lol.
