How long have you been dating/married and what do you get for anniversary presents?

there's so damn many options.

Best is to make/get something symbolic to the 2 of you.

I would suggest you make your question/request a little more specific.

Together 12 years, married 5 and since we've been married nothing more then flowers. We spend money on our kid and other things instead of gifts, we don't buy birthday or Xmas gifts for each other either.

i like to know how you two feel about that absence of the presents. is it an ok thing, or do you two sometimes miss those days where presents do exist.

I don't miss it, if I want something I buy it. I understand why people do it but after being together so long we don't need them to show that we care. I probably sound old but after you've lived together so long, see each other every day and share that bond that you get with a child other things seem so much more important then the material gifts between each other.

I did buy my wife a gift for her 30th birthday last year but thats just because it was one of those milestones but generally speaking we just don't do it. Now when it comes to my son there is nothing I wouldn't get for him within reason. :)
