Help: Hit-and-run involving a pedestrian My sister was hit by a vehicle on May 3rd. She had the right of way, with the green walking sign when she crossed the intersection. Vehicle sped away after hitting her. There were a couple of witnesses; I've tried to contact the Constables involved to see what information/leads they have, left a couple of messages and still no phone call. - What more can I do to get a hold of the Constables? Sister was dismissed from hospital today May 11th with some serious damage to her left leg's ligaments and bruises in a dozen of places. I'm dealing with an Occupational Therapist right now from GF Strong referred by ICBC. - Are these guys any good? - Are there any rehab centre any of you personally dealt with that you would recommend? - Any suggestions are welcome. |

I had a buddy at GF strong for about 6-8 months he was hit by a car going 50 when he was standing there. It was a very good place and you should be happy your sister is there so quick!! |

Good luck mang! |
any of the witnesses get the plate # of the vehicle? |
GF Strong is probably one of, if not, the best physical therapy institutions in North America. My dad became temporarily paralysed from the waist down due to a undetected bacterial infection in his spine that actually ate an entire vertebrae. After multiple surgeries at Royal Columbian Hospital, then 6 months in GF Strong, he walked out on elbow crutches. Although the injuries will always affect his life, he now walks around pretty normally. If you can get your sister in there do it as soon as you can. |
Sorry to hear about your sister |
