ideas on how I can hook up my ipod? Ok so first off, my old car I had an Alpine deck which has the KCE 433 ipod cable and I hid the ipod away in the glovebox while I could control everything from my deck. so now, I have a new car, it has a Panasonic cq vad7200u DVD player installed in it it's a fairly older style DVD player, I mean it looks good enough but it does not have any ipod capability so my dilemma is, I would hate to go back to using CD's again, so what are my options as to hook up my ipod to my new car? keep in mind I want to keep the DVD player if possible, and also I don't want a shoddy FM radio connection or anything, I want to hook it up via direct cable of some sort for the best sound quality I've already figured switching out the DVD player for a newer style that supports an ipod, but what else is there I can do? thanks in advance for any help |
You can buy a ipod composite cable that will plug into av 1 input into the Panasonic Player. It will plug into the bottom of your ipod and also charge your ipod, but selection of songs and playlist will have to be done manually from your Ipod, there will be no Ipod Control from the Panasonic Player. This plug will allow you to do Ipod Video as well! |
That sounds like a simple solution, I've been looking around at the DICE and HK dps2 and everything but couldn't find one that would work or was without a bunch of wiring everywhere so just one of these cables into the back of the DVD player? thanks a lot for the help bud http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/102...sl500aa280.jpg |
change the cd/dvd player :) |
Similar, but the authentic Ipod one is pricey and doesnt charge the Ipod, I have the one that takes 12v input to charge your ipod at the same time! |
