For sum reason those links dont work, but based on what i know right now the suppliers for NCIX are having sales on the LG's this week.. Both brands are good and reliable...

i got a lg and its dope. samsungs are good too, alotta people like em. thing is samsung,lg, most big name brands dont even make their own parts it all gets contracted out to cheap ass companies in china. buy both n see which one looks better and return the other but i dont think you could go wrong with either one. i bought/returned several acers before. i bought one lg and had no trouble, i chose it over the cheaper(at the time) comparable samsung model.

TOPEC 05-23-2009 01:23 AM

i believe samsung makes their own panels. not 100% sure though.

underscore 05-23-2009 01:27 AM

^ samsung and sony make their panels together last I checked. so the only diff between sony vs samsung is the electronics controlling feeding the signal to it. lg would be more likely to contract out

HonestTea 05-23-2009 04:10 AM

Samsung EZ!

know for a fact they don't make their own tv lcd panels so im assuming it would be the same here. google samsung s,a,c panels alotta stuff will come up.

right now i don't think anyone is making their own panels. i checked high end samsungs out(when shopping for tv) and not one was a samsung made panel. i read the same about sony and others. it makes sense on entry level products but should not be that way on higher end stuff.

Sony's contract with Samsung expired last year; Sony's new LCDs are made by Sharp.

LG.Philips is one of the largest LCD panel manufacturers in the world, so I doubt LG would be "more likely to contract out," especially given Samsung's history of using 3rd party panels after the 1st revision.

samsungs with their 3rd party panels are still pretty decent(to me at least). honestly unless your some crazy ass dude who is super anal about your gear i think either a samsung or lg will be plenty good.

asian_XL 05-24-2009 03:23 AM

three of my samsung LCD broke...while my gf's LG still works like new...:(

TOPEC 05-24-2009 11:17 AM

^ ur monitor doesnt like displaying trannies.

Cman333 05-24-2009 10:37 PM

I've only ever had Samsungs. No issues ever for myself.

Went though an ordeal with an LG TV that was dead on arrival, then 2nd one had dead pixels right out of the box. Customer ended up going to Samsung, which has been problem free.

VR6GTI 05-25-2009 10:03 AM

We bought 8 Samsung monitors for our shop last year. Last week 1 of them of them just stopped working. So we replaced it with an LG will see what happens i guess. We went with samsung because ive owned a 40"lcd a 32" lcd and ive never had a problem.
