R.I.P.

These kind of news reports is what's holding me back from getting a bike license, especially I don't want to put my girlfriend's life in danger.

agreed, but its no worse than driving a car. everytime you hit the road, you take the risk. all you can do is to do your best on your part and hope nothing happens.

Really? So you think all that metal, seatbelts, and airbags in a car do absolutely nothing at all?

Inaii 05-24-2009 07:14 AM

I agree with Marco. If you think it's no different than a car, then you're retarded.

DC5-S 05-24-2009 07:47 AM

yeah no kidding.. one fuck up and its game over buddy.. at least you have a chance in a car.. and the more imporant thing about bikes is the people around you that you gotta worry about.

3seriesBeeM 05-24-2009 08:50 AM

^ this is very true you can be the best rider in the world and you can get killed by someone who doesnt shoulder check when changing lanes. I am more scared about the people driving the cars than myself causing an accident on a bike.

racerman88 05-24-2009 12:24 PM

it's all a game, It's you against everyone else.

I am pretty sure a crappy civic can survive a rear ender @ 30 km/h

good luck with a bike

Roach 05-24-2009 05:32 PM

Very sad. RIP.

im not talking about the survival part. im just saying you take the risk of getting into accidents once you get on the road.

You were responding to someone who was hesitant to get their bike license. Even if the chance of getting into an accident was the same as a car, what's the point? It's all about the survival rate.

QFT

Driving a bike can be safe, its the other drivers that don't see them that makes it so risky.

Yes, that is why I'm hesitant on getting a bike. I don't want the risk.

Qmx323 05-24-2009 09:02 PM

I'm not implying anything or being disrespectful, but how come people always assume that its always a cars fault in these crashes? Just throwing that out there.
