protecting spray paint hey i spray painted some parts of my exterior flat black and i was wondering if theres a product out that that can protect it from chips. i put 5-10 coats on when i paint but it starts to chip after about a week on the hwy. |
Did you scuff up the part that you were painting to help the paint stick to the surface? |
What kind of prep work did you do prior to applying the top coat? |
Did you properly prep and primer the surface before laying down the flat black? |
lol no. i sprayed directly on the shiney fake chrome... just incase i didnt like the black. im gunna sand it down to the bare plastic and hope thats enough to prevent chipping. thanks yall |
If you sand it all the way down you're going to get plastic and not chrome :) Unless it's metal. |
