Client brought this car in on a referral from another client. He purchased the car about 18 months ago and hasn't done anything with it detailing wise since getting it. Anyhow, four days and approximately 32 hours later it rolled out the door.

Absolutely amazing. You literally made it look better than new.

Did the customer get a chance to see some of the 50/50 shots and what did he think? (Or is he the type to not be able to appreciate it as we do?)

It seriously takes talent to be that meticulous and patient and you, sir, have that talent.

911fanatic 05-26-2009 10:51 PM

He really didn't seem to appreciate the job as much as I would have liked but he did take a bunch of cards for his buddies so I guess he liked it. Some people just don't get excited. Another guy happened by and saw the hood and propmtly booked in his Porsche so I guess its all good.

Ken, I really hate you...
Not literally, but I'm jealous of your work.

I wish I had the patience that you do. I dont think I could ever be that meticulous about cleaning and polishing every square inch

Even after my 11 hour detail, my car didnt look that good :(

Once again, an amazing job!

I had a question on the tail light restoration. Mine are pretty faded sort of like the porche above, how and what products would I need to get it back to give it that new shine. I've tried the Meguiars plastic polish before and it only seems to last a couple of days before it looks dull again.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Is the Meguiars plastic polish abrasive at all? Or is it just for gloss?
You'd probably need a good abrasive polish to cut out all the swirls that are making it look dull

911fanatic 05-28-2009 05:56 AM

To fix tail lights properly, you'll have to polish them. These were really bad and needed a compound, then a finishing polish.

looks great

BoS_DC2 05-29-2009 12:55 PM

Amazing before and after shots, was that claybar used on the brake parts?

orange7 05-29-2009 10:17 PM

No, just a lot of AG Powermax3 and elbow grease.

spenny 05-30-2009 08:06 PM

shenmecar 05-31-2009 10:28 AM

911fanatic, i love looking at ur threads, the Range Rover, Edge, and this one. They all look absolutely fantastic. Love the before and after pictures too. Keep up the good work buddy!

racerman88 05-31-2009 10:36 AM

you might want to consider giving your customers a pic of their car with half of it done to show the difference.

I agree!

A little before and after shot would be great. I know I'd want something like that if I was getting my car detailed. It kinda gives off the "wow he was worth the money" feeling

thumper 06-09-2009 08:32 AM

ew. seeing all that stuff trapped in a porsche seat is like seeing toe jam on a supermodel

If I had billed him for all the hours it would have topped $1500. Keep in mind that wasn't just a detail but a resurrection. It included 32 hours over 4 days. The wheels were pulled and all suspension components cleaned. The wash time alone was 4.5 hours. All the polishing approached 20 hours. I still could have easily spent another 2 days on it. ;)

Uncle Benz 06-10-2009 09:02 AM

That is some AMAZING work. I couldn't believe my eyes look at the split shots. I wish you best of luck, and keep up the AMAZING work.
