Bike lock Both front and rear wheels have quick disconnects on my new bike, so I want more than a U-lock. Any suggestions? Any sales? |
Why not just take off the front wheel and lock it together with the back wheel/frame? Most U-locks can acomodate that |
called a quick release. lock your rear wheel instead of your front wheel - that's the only advice I or any other bike shop can give you. Get a U lock. |

You could try getting those really long flexible bike locks (can't remember the name). The VERY long ones could probably go through the front wheel, frame, and back wheel and probably even lock them to a tree all at once. Available in most bike stores. |
You can try out mec.. they sell those krazy chains.. i heard they are not so easy to break.. http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_d...=1243872683721 or sportschek sells guard dog ones too !! =) i bought a combo one where it came with a U lock.. and a cable... =) on short trips.. i usually just bring the cable.. and a mini lock ! =) |
I got a Trek U-lock, 13mm and came with a cable and mount for $50. I don't leave my bike out overnight, or in bad neighbourhoods, so this should be fine. |
I usually U lock the front wheel & frame together, and then get a cable lock and lock the back to the frame. Not that my bike is worth all that much...it's just a pain when someone steals your stuff and you have to walk home because you're missing one of your wheels. |
