Beer Keg?

Wheres the best place to get beer kegs and about how much would they go for? thanks

Last time my buddy rented a keg I think it was from Granville Island. The deposit for the keg is probably going to be $100-150. Then you also need a deposit on the pump. The cost of the beer obviously depends on whether you go 30L or 50L.

So ballpark probably $125 keg deposit + $100 pump deposit + $150 beer.

Looks like you went to R & B Brewery. They have some awesome beer for a microbrewery. Rick and Barry are great guys to do business with and their beer is always fresh. :)

You may also want to check this old thread out posted a while back for more details.

all my buddys go to Central Surrey to get their kegs. The find the prices are the best around!!

central city has NASTY beer though imo, like alot of my friends hated the sungod we had, and i actually enjoyed it, the central city brews are all pretty terrible, i tried them all one night when they had 4.50 pints or w/e

the cherry ones and the firetruck ale or w/e are especially bad.

i've always found kegs to be too much hassle for the benefits.

Hondaracer 06-02-2009 04:30 PM

it's a novelty thing

Ya Central City Beer is nasty - I agree...I've gotten kegs from Granville Island...and they're very friendly there...helpful

Any beer and wine should be able to get you a keg. I would stick with something from Labatts or Molson instead of a micro brew.

Hondaracer 06-02-2009 05:49 PM

all labats and molson ones are hella expensive compared to local microbrews though

like a keg of bud is like 265 + deposits or somthing

we had a keg last weekend. it was a molson keg and we got it for $200. it was from some place near 176 street and hwy 10.

That's pretty expensive and especially if you're not going to be enjoying it for the quality beer factor, it's just a waste of an extra $100. Microbrews, I find, are fresher and a lot more satisfying.

If you just wanna get drunk and don't mind shitty beer buy some Black Label.
