PC unexpectedly hangs.

I'm hoping anyone could shed some light as to what may be causing this.
Recently my computer just 'hangs' out of the blue. It happened yesterday and it happened just now. I had to manually push the reset button on the tower.

I go to Event Viewer and the only error I see that corresponds to the time my computer froze was this "The Andrea ADI Filters Service service hung on starting." Event ID: 7022.

I also don't know if it is my hard drive, but I doubt it since it's been over a year I bought this computer. No noise, no crackling sound. (A seagate, yay )
I also did a memory test to check the RAM 2 months ago, so I can cancel that out too.

The only software I installed recently was Kaspersky AV trial, but even so, shouldn't that show up as software problem under Event Viewer?
For temperature readings, both system and CPU are well under 50*C.

I'm pretty sure I experienced this in the past year, but nothing that would make it hang almost every 24hours or so.

Any input would be great.

I performed a chkdsk last month, no errors.
If no errors at all, I may just warranty it if this keeps happening.
Upgrading the firmware on the thing is not what I plan to do. Seagate's site claims my hdd is not defective.

just to update.
i believe i do have a faulty hard drive.
after a power outage at home, my computer won't even go past the Welcome screen.
Windows flag key or ctrl.alt.del won't even work.

Oh well, time to ship it to Seagate. It's only been ONE year.
Boot time is slower than usual. CHKDSK repeatedly reports no bad sectors.
