Need to upgrade my Math and Science, where?!

Graduated HS, out in three weeks. Was taking math E(easy) not P(normal) so i need to upgrade my math... sad thing is I cant simply do math 12, i have to go back and start from 9... But that's fine with me as long as i can get my Math 12 P complete.

Also need to get any science, 11 & 12.

Reason i need to upgrade my Math and take a science is because i need or want to go to SFU/UBC/BCIT which almost all cources require regular math, but not sure about science.

With the amount of young guys on this forum like myself wanted to know were is a good place/school to go get my classes done. College? And when i get my classes done it'll simply be added to my record for completion with a percentage, right.

Need advice, looking to start ASAP when get out of school.

why not ask your counselor about adult ed? they'll sign you up or at the very least point you in the right direction

Another option you may take is applications of mathematics. More post secondary programs are accepting it as their math requirements. Check to make sure its accepted in what program you want to take. Also check to see if you can get into a higher level of applied math (instead of starting from grade 9 principals). It maybe a faster way around.

You can always do self-paste and quickly zoom through Mathematics 9-11.

umm.. I'm not trying to be mean, but you should consider taking some grammar courses. ;)

**shudder**

i took math 12 twice, second time at night school on my own dime

as for science 11/12 just do it thru summer school

crappy way to waste your summer, but you gotta get it done

Not a waste of your summer if you pass. Not a lot of people get off their jobs in the summer so it'll just be like your working, just studying instead.

tiger_handheld 05-31-2009 09:24 PM

take it at adult ed .. college math is super expensive (400/class - kwantlen)

gl...

bimmer91 05-31-2009 09:30 PM

With adult ed / night school do i get the same credit put on my record just like if i went to college?

btw Orange7, eng is not my first language but thanks  working on it...
I was lazy in gr 9/10/11 but now is a diff story, but want to get the classes done.

Online classes offered by several different school districts is the fastest, but you'll need a tutor to help you get through if you plan on doing well quickly.
Other wise, there are several private HS/Colleges like Century that have short semesters and are relatively easy, but I think the class is like $1500

If you have the determination, i hear bio is an easier science course that doesn't require as much calculations as the other two.

Were you taking E math 12?

silk 06-01-2009 05:48 PM

doesnt matter if you graduated from HS or not, i believed as long you are within the age of 19, you can upgrade any HS courses for free at any adult learning education center...

not 100% sure tho ...

!Aznboi128 06-01-2009 10:16 PM

wow school has changed so much....

I have no idea what E and P or whatever stands for

but either way there's this place on main street adult ed or something its free till you've reached 19

Simplex123 06-01-2009 10:23 PM

i think it stands for essentials and principles
