So basically this ambulance was transporting someone to the hospital

(it doesnt seem like the ambulance had its siren on so it wasn't an emergency)

anyway the state trooper was driving behind him with his lights on but no siren so the ambulance didn't notice him immediately

later another police car came up behind them and then began waving them down the EMT saw a lady in the passenger seat and assumed she need medical attention so they stopped and what ensued is seen in the video.


the news link has the EMTs version of the story (fyi after reaching the hospital they were not arrested)

In these kind of situations, the police could've followed them to the hospital and talk to the driver after the person being transported receives medical attention.

The thing is, in the states, the ambulances, like everything healthcare, are privately owned. Still, those cops are pigs.

I've seen worst - saw a video once where guy was rushing his wife to hospital b.c she was in labour. some yankee ass trooper pulls them over and wouldnt help them and gave them a long lecture and then speeding ticket. the guy was like we really need to get her to the hospital. cop was being a douchebag and wouldnt drive them there and instead followed them to the hospital to make sure they wouldn't speed anymore. she barely made it to the hospital and gave birth that day.

it was all over the news when it happened.



another was guy driving his dad to hospital cause he suffered some sort of lung-related attack (keep in mind their in a rural area in this one so calling an ambulance isn't really an option). he's speeding, cops pull them over and give them a ticket and doesn't offer to drive the guy to hospital.


shiet like this makes me angry and gives a bad name for all the good cops out there. I personally believe that cops should be harsh on themselves, if u fuck up, you're fired. none of that suspension with pay shiet.

this will force them to not fuck around and smarten up and protect their image. since few people have respect for cops now.

okay bandwagoners, all you guys are idiots for thinking the copper is in the wrong for this one. cops need to be able to react to an emergency without being compromised by a non-emergency ambulance vehicle.

i can see why the cops angry. what if there was a bomb threat at a school? what if the cop was responding to a shoot out? what if ______? you don't understand how important the cops distress call is. he could be responding to your parents/wife/kid endangered lives. the cop has every right to be that pissed, it will teach those ambulance fucks to STFU and GTFO of the way next time they're just cruising on the road, driving a non-emergency patient to the hospital. also, the ambulance driver should always be glancing in their rear view mirror.

i like how the patients son is all like "my mom is in this ambulance!" obviously his mom is more important to him than any other person, but honestly they're just driving her, it sounds like he was being over-dramatic and looking for a reason to sue. he should stfu cause the cop could be responding to the lives of 1,000 people, let him do his job. also the EMT's think they have some kind of authority over the police, like wtf, know your place. you're a fuckin EMT, cops save more lives indirectly than an EMT because without cops.. well just imagine

when you get your license, one of the criteria was look in your rear view every 8 seconds or w/e. if there was a high speed chase happening behind you, you could be rear ended at 240km/h and dead instantly, all because you were too fucking ignorant to know how to look in your rear-view mirror. darwins effect on you for not paying attention to your surroundings

so next time you hop onto the bandwagon, know what you're saying before you pull the "fuckin pigs". and no im not a cop nor do i like most cops, i just look at both sides of the story before drawing conclusions

the driver of the ambulance seemed to be white to me, and he got bitched out

HUHUHUHU!! all aboard the racist cop bandwagon!! we couldnt see what the EMT said off camera, so we can't draw any conclusions about what happen (apparently the black emt flipped the cop off). HOWEVER, we do know the cop told the black EMT he's under arrest.

if you know you're going to end up pleading guilty for something in court, then by all means, fight back, try to run away, take a gamble. but if you're truly innocent, then follow this guide i wrote for you

If the fucking pigs have time to pull over an EMT, then how unlikely it is for it to be some serious emergency. Pigs were probably rushing to their crispy creme :thumbsup:

you've missed the point completely. this time they probably weren't responding to something as serious. but the principle remains, if it were a serious emergency call, the officer would've been compromised by the ambulance attendant. the EMT driver knew he fucked up too, you can tell. its the black guy inside the ambulance cab with the attitude problem that flipped off the cop that made things go from bad to worse. how can you flip off a cop and act surprised when you get choked for resisting arrest?
