Need opinions on these wheels

Im thinking of going with these wheels, axis halos in gold, 18x8.5
The offset will probably be between +35 and +40

They're going on this car

Yay or nay?

those are pretty nice and gold would look good on a black car but my only concern is it concave enough because of the width and offset
ps i dont like flat face rims, concave/deep dish ftw!

!Yaminashi 06-04-2009 09:19 PM

I'm not too sure just how concave they are, I dont think my car can handle really aggressive offsets so a slight concave look is just fine for me, right now my wheels are only slighly concave anyway :D
They just dont stick out enough, I want to be flush or poke out a tad past the fender

Here's an idea of how concave they are

This is 18x8.5

Any thoughts on the quality of axis wheels?

that's a pretty awesome width. but would it be overkill on a FWD?

like the wheels, not sure about the fitment though.

It shouldnt be too different from what I'm running now
Right now I have 18x8 with +45 offset

I just want them to poke out slightly from the fenders

Wheels look good man!
Gold on Black is definitely sexy!

I ended up not ordering these wheels after all :p

gramser57 06-07-2009 01:41 PM

axis wheels are pretty good, decent quality for buck.

whitescirocco 06-09-2009 01:22 PM

Didn't order them.... What did you order then?

I personally like the look of those wheels, its your opinion after all who cares what other's think. (Comming from the guy who has Teddy Bear's for winter wheels)

Ok so for some reason the supplier isnt responding at all, so if I choose to go with the axis halo's Id be opting for a custom colored pinstripe

Either Takata Green, orange, or a smurf blue

j1mmyi3 06-10-2009 07:59 PM

the black ones are nice

124Y 06-10-2009 11:19 PM

Orange! It'll stand out more and it's sexy!

!Yaminashi 06-10-2009 11:28 PM

Weird that you say that, I went with the orange ones!
This time the supplier actually had the axis wheels in so they were ordered
PHEW!

shungo 07-07-2009 08:04 PM

nice wheels! i would get them :)

kristianhay 07-08-2009 02:16 PM

Nice wheels, glad you didn't go with the gold. Gold rims look way too tacky imo.
