Current lease deals?

Just looking for deals on leasing a car. So far im thinking 09 265 wrx, its $2000 down and $400 a month. Does any one know any good deals. Only requiremnts are, car must be japanese or german. Must be quick. I was thinking 350zs, g35 or 328.

Can only afford around $400 a month with about a $3000-$4000 downpayment.

Thanks

Doubt you can get a 328i for that much, you can get a 323i tho.

Gt-R R34 06-04-2009 01:32 PM

Why put any down? o.O

if you'rse leasing, just yah..

HonestTea 06-04-2009 01:47 PM

Yeah, why are you putting anything down when you're leasing?

nightkid 06-04-2009 01:49 PM

go on craigslist and look for lease transfer, may be?

Harvey Specter 06-04-2009 02:15 PM

I assume he's putting more down so he can lower his payments.

ilvtofu 06-04-2009 06:14 PM

I think last month the wrx 265 had an amazing deal for a 24 month lease, may not be around anymore though. Thats a nice car, fuck the fanbois

EuroRepresent 06-04-2009 07:36 PM

Doesn't Infiniti have lease deals at 1.9% right now?

ilvtofu 06-04-2009 08:05 PM

I think infiniti residuals are too low to afford, lease on a G is too expensive

You should really consider taking over leases (1-2 yr old cars).

IF you are willing to put 3-4k DP, and pay $400 a month, you can take over a lease with a higher monthly payment. If the car u want to lease is 600/month, then u can use that DP money to add on to what you can afford monthly. Just an option.

ya.. probably lease transfer wil get you alot further with ur money..

coming from a guy who had to get a 2nd job to afford his first car.

that was my biggest mistake. going out of my means. if you already have a weekday job. why suffer and buy a more expensive car?

just my thoughts.

TracerFX 06-06-2009 01:19 PM

I think your best bet is to stick with what you have and save up to increase the 3-4k u already have, and in a couple of years, you'll get further with your money, u can either finance or put it towards a house dp? if thats what you're looking for..

if not, then by all means, Craigslist has TONS of lease transfers all the time, If the monthly payment u can afford is 600-700, you can prolly get g35s, 328s, or 350z..just have to look for the right deal, most ppl wanting to get rid of their lease usually are pretty desperate (most of the time)

good luck!

Does anyone know if you take over a lease, can you change the monthly payment?

I.e. can i put $1200 down, to get monthly payments down from $800 to $700/month?

I also want to take over a lease, but I need to fit within company monthly payments..

ilvtofu 06-07-2009 01:42 PM

I think the Cooper/cooper S has very good lease deals, cause they have very very high residuals

I'm pretty sure you can.

To the OP - Keep in mind, you have to budget for insurance, gas, and repairs/preventative maintenance too. If you're barely getting by, save your pennies and find something a little older; there's nothing wrong with that.

Driving the newest and/or fastest car of today won't make you any more popular. For $3 - $4k, you can pick up a nice E30 BMW 325is - bulletproof inline 6 motor, Bilstein suspension package (factory) and factory viscous LSD. Fun, fast, reliable cars for the most part.

I'm pretty sure u can't.

I've taken over a lease and gotten rid of one as well, and the lease contract are not renegotiable. You cannot change anything other than the name of the person who the contract is legally responsible for.

It would be awesome to change the monthly payments and KM allowances (or maybe add extra wear and tear package) if it was allowed.

Adsdeman 06-09-2009 11:15 AM

Thanks for the input. I think i can afford to do this without a second job its just if i did get a second job , 1 day a week would pritty much pay for the lease. Then all i have to cover is insurance and gas which i already do anyway. This would not be my first car it would be my 8th just never leased before

124Y 06-09-2009 11:36 AM

I guess you're leasing because you don't want to keep the car for a long time? If you've ever thought about financing, just FYI, 2008 Evos have 0% financing up to 60 months. :D

Adsdeman 06-15-2009 11:02 AM

I would love an evo but arnt payments on financing over $1000, sorry jus not that ballin
