I mean it's not his fault the comptuer tech did a HD recovery. Hell, if I was a computer tech, and I got a celebrities computer, I would probably do the same just because

It's really about where the photos are taken and from what culture. You don't see US celebrities making a big fuss outta their home sex tapes/pictures. Hongers take these shit too seriously... it's fucking human nature. WOOOOOH, she showed a nipple and her orgasm expression, big fucking deal. Chinese people are so funny when it comes to sex. They get all up in arms over photos of consenting adults having sex and supposedly "pure" actresses being outed as sluts, yet last time I checked (and I've been to China/HK/Taiwan countless time) there is as much pre-marital sex, porno and prostitution in China as anywhere else (if not more really).

Maybe people where mad at Edison because they think he made an entire people lose a bit of face? Quite hypocritical really.

I totally understand where you are coming from. He wasn't the one maliciously spreading the pics. But what you fail to understand that was his responsibility to keep that shit private as there were careers and relationships at stake. he doesn't have the whole blame, but he had quite a lot to do with it.

Agreed, what if they were actually physical pictures and he put them through the shredder, and along comes a "hacker" and pieces all the shredded pictures back together, is it still his fault?

He's taking responsibility regardless. But he DID keep this stuff private, assuming everything he said in the interview is true. He never shared it with anyone and deleted it from the recycling bin. At this point (after the pictures were already taken), there isn't much more he could have done, besides physically destroying the HD. But that would of been looked as unnecessary since he didn't know HDs can be recovered like that. And he didn't plan for his computer to fail.

he did kept it private, on his computer. where was he suppose to keep it? in a photo album? these people just needs someone to blame and obviously it's gonna be him. it's not like these photos were taken from a hidden camera. it's clearly these girls knew at the moment that the photos were about to be taken, they were fucking posing ffs.

there is no career at stake because it didn't worsen any of these girls career, rather boosted it.

look at gillian nowadays, her photos and ads are getting more sexier and are showing much more skin.

cecilia had those pictures taken prior to her marriage clearly just by looking at how young she was.

I think that's pretty much what ZhangFei is trying to say. So it kind of just cancels out every other point you made in your post. :confused:

Everyone is obviously at fault, blaming EDC is just easy I guess...The person to blame is the guy who distributed the pictures, but I can't see that hacker doing it just for the hell of it, otherwise, he probably got paid.
