For being rich. Li Ka Shing made his wealth all by himself as a mainlander in hk. He did not achieve that by being generous. He also donate millions to charity each year like every other billionaire. Sure him and his family is full of scandal, which rich person you know isn't scandalous?

he owns 1/4 of HK.... almost anything that goes thru in everyday life would be related to him.
