dizzyness mystery, is it my eyes or monitor or??

hey guys a few weeks ago i went to the doctor cause i felt light headed while i was on my desktop working
the doctor thought i had vertigo and said to take it easy for a while
ive been going out a lot and been playing sports often and feel really great
i figured i was ok and stayed away from my desktop specifically and just checked my stocks and stuff on my blackberry
well i decided to go on my desktop again today and i started to feel dizzy everytime i look at it and i tried to change the settings and everything but nothing! still dizzy as hell

i recall playing games on the same desktop a few months back for like HOURS straight and felt fine, but now i cant look at it longer than 15 minutes without feeling nauseated...
its an acer monitor x193w if anyone knows what that is
is it possibly just a coincidence with the monitor or am i like near sighted or something(my mom's diagnosis)
im currently on my laptop and i feel perfectly fine...

Check your refresh rate on the monitor... the flickering can bug some people (luckily not me haha)

hey guys, ya i know rs prolly aint the best place, but ive tried everything haha
i changed the refresh rating as well on the monitor
i decided to switch monitors to my old 19" CRT in my storage, and now im perfectly fine for now...? so weird

Common displays such as non-digital LCDs and conventional CRTs display light through a rapid flicker to achieve a seemingly constant color, causing the brain to have epileptic attacks or worse migraines due to a sensory overload (although this too hasn't been clearly deduced in research).

Direct digital input LCDs however, work differently, in that they allow specific pixel control so that if the white doesn't change from one frame to the next, it remains at its previous color (no flicker). If you're not already using such a setup, I'd advise giving this a try and seeing how that pans out (e.g. observing how long you can work for without adverse effects).

Clinically, constant dizziness can also be caused by brain tumors (e.g. cancerous mass grows outta control, pushing against nerves and brain); but I'd rule that one out as you've only experienced this during monitor usage.
