Would Subs in the Trunk Damage Electronics in the Trunk??

any body got an answer to this?

im always scared of putting laptops, cameras in the trunk cuz of the vibrations caused by subs pounding. im scared either the magnets will fuck something up or the vibrations will.

Then stop the racket for the time being when you have valuables in the boot of your car. You don't need to be blasting away every second of every drive you do. Plus that shit is annoying as hell and decreases you attentiveness on the road because you aren't able to listen to the surroundings.

In short, yes the vibrations from your subs will fuck up electronics, its equivilant of taping them ontop of a jackhammer if you think about it.

Of course it'll damage electronics!! Leave it in the passenger seat...or if you have back seats, leave them there.

If you have to transport your valuable electronics, it looks like you have the following options:
1) leave in passenger compartment, plain view
2) put in trunk, with your system booming, potentially damaging your valuables
3) put in trunk, with your system off

You pick.

I usually have my digital camera back there, no big deal as the lens is solid and held tightly when it's off.

I used to have a hard drive back there, but as long as it's decently secure, it's not getting any more vibration from a sub than it is from the stiff suspension i have.

that being said... magnets... haven't heard of an issue yet.

it should be fine..just don't leave ur stuff close to the subs

I usually put my valuables in my backseat and cover them with my 2 pillows!:haha:

you don't want people to know you have valuables in the truck, but you drive around with subs blasting.... which tells everyone you have valuables in the trunk.
