Shipping help please

I'm buying a used set of wheels/tires from Madison, WI and want to have them shipped to a friend's place in Federal Way, WA or a mailbox closer to the border. If shipping's reasonable enough, maybe right to the GVRD.

What shipping company do you guys recommend I use?

Thanks

USPS

Ship to TSB at Point Roberts, and import them yourself. TSB charges $5 per tire depot fee, and you will pay GST/PST at the customs office in Tsawwassen. Make sure your seller includes an invoice.

Shipping to Federal Way will cost the same as to Point Roberts. But shipping to Canada is considered international, and will cost you a fortune if you don't have an account with the courier.

They WILL quesiton you about it, if your intention is to avoid taxes etc.

Paying tax/duty at the border when I come back is a non-issue. I've used TSB and Hagen's in the past. I won't ship it directly to Canada cause I refuse to pay the bullshit brokerage fee.

My main issue is who to use for shipping between WI and WA.

You don't have to pay brokerage if you clear the item yourself.

It doesn't matter too much which courier you go with but make sure the seller knows how to ship wheels. Most people have no clue, and you end up with bent/damaged rims.
