Last week, my terayon modem would disconnect and flash red, 4 times every night. It was annoying as fuck. Seems to have stopped doing that for now.

Mine's been stable, but speed sucks.

Non x-treme, got 4.8mpbs for download, and 0.24mpbs for upload, noticed it started happening like this over the weekend.

I'm using the Terayon as well.
So I bring the old modem to a shaw office, they will give me a new one for free?
Are the new one all the same? Faster?

Then I go home and plug it in and internet will work? Do I need to set any settings or anything?

non-xtreme also but I get 20down and 0.48 up?

Also, I noticed from shaw's page that the High Speed plan has a cap of 60GB/month now? Wtf. Since when? I think I may have to invest in a seedbox...

your non-xtreme has higher download bandwidth than x-treme?

Shaw sucks...

yeah Powerboost is dumb as a marketing ploy, but I'll admit it does speed up downloads of albums by a fraction as long as your album isn't lossless. Anything over 100MB and Powerboost (on High Speed, at least) is negligible

the morotola modems generally have faster speeds and you're missing out on powerboost

it's best to let the account holder come into retail to get the swap done. just bring in the terayon modem and the power cable and they'll swap it for you. if not, you can get it mailed out as well

once you're at home, just plug it all in as usual and you should be good to go. you may need to power cycle a router if you have one
