Aside from where the funding's coming from, the Hollow tree does have some economic value as a tourist attraction/spectacle.

what about all the myths surrounding the treee??? its good that they are keeping it up, but why would it be costing so much money to do it?

apparently... that tree has like.. sentimental value to society or something... like... the royal family took pictures there back in the door.. all the way till present or something.. i don't know..

i was listening to CKNW about the tree and they had a guest on there.. like.. it's a special symbol or something...

take it for what it's worth... it's not your tax $$...
