I thought I'd never start a thread like this, but did anyone see what happened?

I drove by, northbound, a bit before 7pm. A bunch of police were already on scene. Southbound in either the Mickdicks or BK pullout driveway was this smashed black honda (probably a civic but I didn't get a good look). It was massively rearended - the trunk was pushed all the way in and the rear wheel was pushed up and towards the rear window. Looked like the side curtain airbags had deployed as well.

I didn't see another smashed up car or truck nearby.

any details?
