Here's what I do....

card holder = back right pocket
money clip = front left
house keys = front right
car keys = clipped to belt
lighter = any pocket
smokes = left sleeve
cell phone = carry in my hand or left back pocket

The only time I have a hard time is when I'm on call for the week and I carry 3 cell phones and a pager but I usually have a laptop bag during those times in case I need to get into the network... but really, I'd rather lug around a suitcase than use a murse.

rsx 06-11-2009 05:32 PM

I'd wear one if I'm travelling

ilvtofu 06-11-2009 05:40 PM

I like keeping my cellphone in my pant pockets becoz that way I can feel it vibrate, (iphone 2g speakers = too quiet) Wouldn't use a bag, and I only have 2 keys to carry around + my wallet so a bag is never necessary, sometimes I do wish I had a bag to carry around a glasses cloth, maybe some tissue, headphones and some other knickknacks but still, it's not necessary,
But if I could afford a nice branded murse that's not too big I'd definitely bring it out with me. But I wouldn't put my cell, wallet, and keys in it.

They're actually pretty handy

when I got to places like that, I clip a little black pouch (about the size of a wallet) to the side of my pants. Not big or flashy enough to make me look gay, but good enough to throw all my shit into.

Just curious what you do when you happen to wear shorts without pockets or lets say sweat pants?

who the fuck wears sweat pants in public?

and the only time your shorts dont have pockets is when you are at the beach where you have a cooler etc, or playing sports, and then you have a gym bag

So what do you guys even consider murses?

The Gucci/LV bags that people wear around their chest?
The small sidebag pouches (kind of like a miniature messenger bag)?
The full on PURSE as in the picture above?

Or all three?

Yes they're all consider murses...briefcases, actual padded labtop bags, gym bags are not though.

Dont let all these unsecure guys stop you. Honestly...it's a lot more practical throwing everything in a murse...admit it everyone. I know for a fact that 1/20 guys on this site have one...where are all you guys hiding? Speak up for yourselves lol

Pros
-Losing wallet with all ID is a bitch
-Bigger cellphones these days Iphone and BB
-Car keys which cost $200+ to replace
-other small miscellaneous items
-losing the bulges in your pockets.

Cons
-Homo

Pros outweigh the Cons

People dont like wearing jeans 7 days a week...Track pants and athetlic sweat pants are much more comfortable...but they only come with 2 pockets...and things are prone to sliding out when sitting down. Another plus for a murse...DUN! DUN! DUN! :p

I wear my jeans everyday. No matter how hot or cold it is. Track pants and sweat pants are for physical activities only. I would use a murse if it's like a raf bag or something, not those gucci belt bags or w.e. However I find using my backpack is more convient.

That's easy, when I wear those things, my stuff is in a locker... and the shorts I wear out in public usually have 3-5 pockets.

+1
I personally always wear something with four pockets in public unless I'm headed out for a quick errand (even then I usually change into jeans) or to the gym.

there's a reason why purses tend to be targets for thieves--they contain all the shit you're too lazy to carry/put in your pockets.

and I'll bet this guy would look super rad wearing sweat pants carrying a murse like this

haha well another con for carrying a murse is if i jack you up, i just snatched everything you had in your murse

pawdregry4g 06-11-2009 10:45 PM

I'd wear a murse, nothing flashy. Sometimes you have to carry a little extra (like an umbrella! or a Tshirt) but not enough stuff to justify a backpack.

Amuse 06-11-2009 11:07 PM

Those Gucci/LV bags are really gay.
A small messenger bag is the way to go.
