reducing amount of spam email

Hey guys I have a quick question, is there anyway of reducing the amount of spam mail that I receive? I get quite a few, probably a good hundred every couple of days or so. They go into my spam folder but is there anyway of getting rid of them completely? I probably got these buy signing up onto porn forums and stuff like that haha.

Thanks!

go through each one and unsubscribing them

^I've done that to some of the newsletters I've subscribed too. it's like those really gay spam mails. Like the phishing type of emails where its from ME: and like the "increase your penis by X and X" or get new software that kind of garbage.

Actual spam? No. There is not really any way to reduce it. Once your email address is out there, it's forever.

And if you try to unsubscribe to real spam emails, you may get even more... because now they know it's a real email address that someone looks at.

that's why always have a junk specific hotmail account for all of your porn needs.. too much junk there.. who cares..

depending on the spam i would leave it alone. if it's an actual say microsoft thing you subscribed to yeah go ahead but if it's Nigerian spam they're just hit you more by unsubscribing. i say if the spam filter is doing it's job just let it continue.

sounds like a no brainer but always have a junk email account. i use an @yahoo account for all signups and it's great because if i ever forget a forum/site password i reset it there. all my other real accounts (school, work, my own domain) forward stuff into one gmail account. i never give out the gmail account to anybody/anysite so it's clean minus the stuff that is forwarded. If one of my real accounts turn too spammy I drop it and forward a new email.
