dog obedience school just got a new cocker/terrier puppy and i'm looking for an obedience school. don't really know where to start, any recommendations? thanks |
what we did was ask our vet. he reconmended this dog school along kingsway near joyce (which was close to the vet anyways) was pretty good, but my dogs too energetic to remember it all, hahaha. |

what area are you in ?? |
burnaby, closer to sfu |
check out DogSmart.ca, they host them at various locations outside their head office. The puppy school we went to was hosted out of the doggy daycare at Gilmore/2nd avenue haven't tried absolutek9 for training but their doggy daycare service is pretty good as i drop him off maybe once or twice a month when i don't have time to really exercise him |
You may wanna check with your local city (Burnaby) through their local programs. I live in Port Moody and got a six week obedience training program for $42 - much cheaper than any private offerings I researched. Hope this helps... |
Local Programs are a way to go. If you want info on PetSmart, my Maltipoo went through a 8 week program for $110 for puppy training, which covered obedience, potty training, and even a bit of clicker training. If you feel your dog isnt doing any better, or doesnt pass the last test on week 8, they let you take it again for free. Flexible class times, lots of other dogs for socializing or you can take up smaller classes or private ones for a larger price. Hope this helps |

I have taken two courses with them, as well as private behavioral sessions |
