XBOX360 Arcade $150 I hate Futureshop/Wal-mart with a passion but $150 is a freakin' steal. It's XBOX360 Arcade (no HDD), some are jasper units i believe (less prone to RROD) futureshop ends their sale june 23rd. I picked one up a year ago for $200 but never was interested in XBL nor the singleplayer exclusive games so i sold it to a member on BST for $180 sealed. Enjoy:thumbsup: |
can you expand the internal memory? just wonder... |
London Drugs Will pricematch any ADVERTISED price. |

these only come with 256mb..i heard they might start bringing the 512mb ones over (they're only available in japan atm) but if you're just gonna have game saves...it's enough. I remember micrsoft was doing a promo for refurb 20GB HDD with XBL gold card for $20....but i doubt it's still going on. |
I'm so tempted but getting another system that I probably won't play seems kinda pointless. But at the same time you can mod xbox's. I saw some guy on craigslist selling brand new units + one game for $150 also. AsianXL>>> Yes apparently you can, but for the price you might as well pay $50 more and get the 20gb one. |
im thinking since i already got a xbox.. i could just buy this xbox and mod it.. and whenever i want to use my game saves or xbox live ill just switch harddrive over :D sound liek a good plan? |
^why not just play your legit and live games on your current one then instead of swapping the HDD around Quote:
ah, i forgot you can mod xbox. now i'm tempted too! how much does it cost to mod one? then again any singleplayer game that i wanna try out will most likely be on PC..that and yeah it might just collect dust too. i'll look into buying one when project natal is implemented (full-motion sensors)..i can probably find an arcade for $100 since the next gen xbox will be around the corner by then... |

it's like $30 to flash your drive now. my 360 has been modded since forever. as long as you're not a dumbass and can follow instructions to properly verify/burn games, you most likely won't get banned (unless MS finds a new way to detect modders but its been almost 2 years and i haven't been banned). |

do that, and you'll get your non-modded console banned. no johns. one method they use to find cracked 360s is by looking at the individual ID numbers of each game you 'own' when you connect to xboxlive. If they see that ID number doesn't exist or if it repeats somewhere else, you get banned. |

But what's the difference between Live and Arcade? Can arcade play on XBL? |
They ban the console. X360 Arcade is just a dumbed down version of the normal XBOX. As far as I know, the only major difference is that it can't play original XBOX games, and only comes with composite cables. |
I bought one today. They had the no tax sale at superstore today. picked one up for 150 no tax |
back to the subject of modding ... I've had my system "flashed" for about 8 months. Also had my first 360 done a couple years back (it rrod'ed after 2 years). I dont play much on XBL but Its been almost 3 years and no problems. Know of a couple people who are in the same boat. But also some who have had their systems banned. Something to keep in mind. When my original system rrod'd, i tired my luck and had it sent in to MS. They replaced it with a refurb unit. According to the ms rep I spoke with , for Canadian consoles they just replace them for the red rings, more or less no questions asked. Eventually gave the non-hdmi refurb away and moved onto an hdmi console. Mod at your own risk , O... and $150 is a wicked deal ! |

Think about all the money you can save on single player games. I don't even play online. Decisions decisions. |

^200 is MSRP 3 month of live is nice..20GB for $20 is okay considering it's refurb |
