everywhere u go people that offer services expect tips. theres tons of countries that don't take tips in general. Regardless, tip or not, they get paid. i hate it when i go out to get bubble tea, the girl takes my order at the register and expects a tip. bitch all u did was take my order, put the change in the machine and thats it. They shouldnt even have bathroom attendants. i pay 10-20 in cover charges, i expect free paper towel, a spritz of cologne and a piece of gum. what did that add up to? a dollar?

if that girl bathroom attendant asked for a tip, id be like... bitch make me a chicken sandwhich and some waffles.. then we'll talk

vegas clubs have tons of shit in their washrooms. gum, mints, cologne, and packs of cigarettes too! just take the cigarettes and leave a dollar tip, lol.

i remmber at fabric one night i was really drunk and i tipped the soap giving guy 20 bucks lol. that sucked

Enjoy being a bathroom attendant while you're young enough to do so, it sounds like you make some pretty good money spritzing soap and handing out towels while probably getting VIP privileges at the club too.

On topic, I usually avoid bathroom attendants the few times I go to a club because most clubs in Canada are shitboxes and I don't need to pretend like I'm at an upscale restaurant or lounge while there, only to step outside and see a group of guys in Ed Hardy gear awkwardly dancing in a group to Kiss Me Through the Phone by Soulja Boy. However, if I see a bathroom attendant being hassled by some drunk guy who just puked all over the floor I'll usually throw them a couple of bucks because I feel bad for their existence at that particular point in time.

Probably the same type of person that used to work as a server and would bitch about only receiving a 20% tip for doing nothing then proceed to come on RS or another forum and bitch about how tipping is mandatory when you go eat regardless of the lack of service they provided.

i have tipped once when i took a gum. other then that i let them put the soap in me hand, turn the water on and hand me a towel and i leave. i didnt ask for them to do that so why should i tip them. i am capable of doing it on my own even when i have had 1 to many. they are just annoying. sorry if i offended the person that does this stupid job and has read my comment.

I tipped the bathroom guy a couple of dollars last time i was at Tunnel because he had lollipops, gum, cologne etc.

I usually give them around $2 for the night on my first trip to the washroom and they would try to provide me some service on that run to the washroom and the runs afterwards.

I think you're being a little too harsh. No, it's not a way I'd choose to supplement my income, but to each his own. When they've got all that stuff to choose from it's pretty convenient, and my guess is 10x better than the crap you'd get from the machines in the bathroom. When it comes to these guys, the only thing I take issue with is when they bogart the paper towel so you HAVE to get it from them, which kinda twists your arm into giving them some change. When they do that, I don't give them any money. If I was to take advantage of what they offered, then of course leave them some money.
