The Pacific (HBO) - Band of Brother's "sequel"

Produced by Tom Hanks + Steven Spielberg

The Pacific is a World War II television drama mini-series, produced by HBO, which is currently in development. It may be similar, although unrelated, to Band of Brothers. Whereas Band of Brothers focused on United States Army's involvement in the European Theater of Operations, the new series will be about the United States Marine Corps's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

It's the biggest production in TV history

Quote:

International TV networks have begun to purchase HBO’s The Pacific for a March 2010 release. A total of 10 episodes at 60minutes each will be shown on all the major networks ranging from the UK, to Germany, Asia, Austria, Switzerland and beyond. HBO billed the production as, “the biggest thing HBO has ever done” but also “the biggest production in the history of television,” given the scale and scope of the miniseries. It’s like making 10 major movies at once.
24 fans might recognize a familiar face ;)

Comes out March 2010

I've seen nothing in the trailer or iMDB cast list to suggest there is a familiar face from 24.

You are not a true 24 fan if you can't recognize him!

After watching the trailer 3 times I finally figured it out. He looks so different and his voice sounds different too lol.

Calling it a sequel to Band of Brothers is a stretch. AFAIK, The Pacific's storyline runs parallel to the storyline of Band of Brothers during WW2.

Don't get your hopes up thinking Ronald Spiers or Major Winters is going to pop up out of nowhere like Ted Danson did in Saving Private Ryan.
