Finally got time for some installs. B&M Tranny oil cooler, Greddy Tbelt/Cam sprocket

i finally got around to installing my tranny cooler today, since the past couple days ive been doing the tbelt.

One thing though, i saw some of you guys install the cooler with the input/outputs facing upward, and some facing downward, does it matter or just preference????

I decided to have mine facing upward, in case of any lines cut or whatever, the tranny fluid can at least sit in the cooler.

the other port is just being blocked in view by the horn..

And how i mounted it...

and the tbelt install since that was the MAIN goal... i bought the B&M cooler almost 2 years ago haha, but waited until i had to chance to remove the radiator and had plenty of room to do the lines before i installed it.

Greddy timing belt is same for all 2JZ's, so supra, GS300, IS300

Cam Sprocket is the same for all 2JZ's and 1JZ's...

only changed the exhaust cam sprocket for now as the intake cam sprocket is VVTI... ill worry about that later when i save up for the turbo upgrade

That's a lot of belts in your engine bay i should say pulleys haha.

Will you be any tuning on the exhaust cam or this is just part of the turbo build?

shhhhhhhhhh!

:shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh::shhh:

naaa, its one super huge serp belt! the great thing about the 2jz, the water pump is off the serp belt! and not part of the timing belt!

from left to right:
alternator, waterpump, crank pulley, tensioner pulley (on the arm), then top right is the power steering, bottom right is the a/c

That's awesome. Makes replacing things A LOT easier.

I think you should colour match all your pulleys with your cams. :P

Keep the update coming!!!

thought about it, but too lazy to figure out what belt i need after all the pulley's are changed.

ohh unless ur just talking about getting them anodyzed. i was thinking, if i was to do something like that, i might as well get a pulley kit.

next on the list of fixing up is
- new fuel filter
- rebuild my brake master cylinder.

new on the list of mods is
- supra TT front brakes
- supra TT 3.76 LSD
- GS400 torque converter

i may need a shop to help me with the lsd and the torque converter as ive never taken those 2 things apart before.
